Work commenced this morning at 9 am at Chapman with the students working on filling out the Creative Brief for the project. Class broke at 10:35 to head from Orange to Irvine and LPA. The students heard from Nick Arambarri ((LPA architect)), Mike Gembarski ((LPA Comms)), and Ron Leland ((LPA Comms Director)) on the scope of similar projects in the US. The students also met Andrew Comer ((Developer Client)) from London.
After the meeting the students broke for lunch. Then returned to Chapman for more work in the afternoon.
Each group worked to come up with 5 big ideas to begin to answer the communication design problem.
Tomorrow the students will begin narrowing down their solutions, refining them, and preparing the presentations for Friday.
